Weekend.17 in September Will Host AI Weekend!

The largest regional festival, Weekend Media Festival, from its inception, has been at the forefront of trends and current affairs. This year, in addition to media, marketing, communication, and HR industries, it will also bring together leading names from the regional and global AI community at the old Tobacco Factory in Rovinj.

In a world where artificial intelligence has infiltrated nearly every segment of business, AI Weekend will be one of the first festivals to connect the AI community with the business and media worlds from September 19 to 22.

“Since its first edition, Weekend Media Festival has pushed boundaries, growing and expanding into new areas every year. We strive to lead trends, so at Weekend.17, in addition to HR.Weekend and the professionals from the HR sector who will have their second edition this fall, we will also host the local and global AI community. Last year, we introduced numerous topics related to the changes brought by artificial intelligence in business but given that many compare the current AI revolution to the advent of the Internet, we believe these topics deserve a dedicated festival,” explained Tomo Ricov, Director of the Weekend Media Festival and Pepermint agency.

AI Weekend will be held at the same time and place, featuring special speakers from across Europe and the USA. The event will address all the changes that artificial intelligence has brought and will bring. The idea is to gather all experts in one place in the picturesque Rovinj during the last weekend of September, already recognized as the best venue for networking, exchanging business ideas, and enjoying great entertainment in the region.

“The AI community in Croatia is thrilled that we will be part of Weekend.17 and could expand our knowledge and connections with other industries. Artificial intelligence permeates the modern world to such an extent that there is no industry it hasn’t touched or will touch, so the fusion of the media and marketing industries with IT professionals was inevitable. Croatia has already established itself as a significant tech scene in terms of unicorns relative to its population, and with this festival, we aim to put Croatia on the map of global tech conferences. Weekend.17 is the ideal place for exchanging information, knowledge, and ideas, and connecting the global tech scene with the regional business world,” said Martina Silov, President of the CroAI Association in Croatia and Director of AI Weekend.

The Weekend family is expanding with another member. HR.Weekend, which delighted HR professionals last year in Rovinj, raised numerous important questions among HR professionals, employers, and companies, as well as those interested in developing and applying innovative strategies in human resource management.

“The first HR.Weekend was so successful that we are already preparing numerous innovations for the second edition, including an additional hall where some of the world’s top HR experts will give lectures. HR is no longer just a ‘personnel’ topic but one of the most important pillars of any company. The idea of HR.Weekend emerged from this, a festival that is more than a conference, featuring numerous panels and lectures with all the key players in the industry, as well as the important ‘weekend’ experience – socializing, networking, and having a good time. Additionally, all HR.Weekend attendees will be able to participate in the Weekend Media Festival and AI Weekend programs, integrating rather than isolating participants, which has been our goal from the beginning,” said Daniel Ackermann, Director of HR.Weekend.
