Damir Causevic is an entrepreneur and CEO of Monri Payments, the leading payment service provider in Southeast Europe.
Causevic co-founded Monri Payments in 2017, which thanks to its innovative solutions grew quickly and today processes over 400m transactions annually with a total value exceeding €4bn. In 2019, Monri Payments was acquired by Asseco Group through its payment division Payten, making it one of the first fintech exits in Croatia and the region. Causevic continued to lead Monri Payments as its CEO under the Asseco Payten umbrella.
With a group of fintech enthusiasts in 2022 Damir co-founded Money Motion, the biggest fintech conference in the region. In its second edition in 2024 the conference brought together over 2.000 participants from 600 companies and engaged 90 speakers in discussions on key topics.
Causevic is also an active mentor and advisor to other entrepreneurs and advocates for creating a more supportive ecosystem for startups in the region. His achievements have had a significant impact on the fintech industry in Croatia and Southeast Europe, and his leadership and commitment to promoting entrepreneurship and innovation will continue to inspire future generations of entrepreneurs.
