Roberto Kutić is one of the co-founders and part of a group of entrepreneurs and enthusiasts who established the present-day Infobip. He joined the Vodnjan-based IT giant in 2009 as Chief Operating Officer, intending to leverage his extensive business and technology experience to expand Infobip into the global market. His expertise in building work teams, understanding global work culture, and business development has been of great significance to Infobip’s past and future growth. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture in Zagreb and began his professional career at Uljanik in Pula. There, he advanced to the position of Chief Engineering Officer, overseeing global and multidisciplinary projects in engineering, IT, organizational improvements, and employee relations. Additionally, he taught computer science at the Polytechnic Faculty, introducing many young talents to the IT and telecommunications industry.
Together with his brother Silvio and co-founder Izabel Jelenić, they developed the initial startup project into what Infobip is today – Croatia’s first unicorn startup, whose value exceeded one billion dollars in 2020 and employs over 3,500 people globally across 70 offices on six continents. Thanks to its main product, a cloud communication platform and services that can reach nearly 7 billion users and devices in over 190 countries, Infobip enables seamless mobile communication between businesses and their customers – on every channel and device, anywhere in the world. The company is headquartered in Vodnjan, and with its business model, it has transformed the small Istrian town into one of the most desirable destinations for top developers worldwide. They are the winners of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2018.
