Dr. Sabina Mandić, a holder of a Ph.D., serves as a postdoctoral researcher and senior assistant at the Department of Behavioral Disorders within the Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation Sciences (ERF) at the University of Zagreb. In addition, she contributes her expertise as a specialist collaborator at the Educational Counseling Center of ERF. Her scientific research and professional pursuits primarily focus on behavioral issues in children and adolescents. She has a particular interest in risky and unacceptable behaviors in virtual environments, as well as behavioral addictions relating to social networks, video games, and gambling. Distinguishing herself as one of the few scientists who have dedicated their doctoral research to the study of addiction to social networks and online video games, Dr. Mandić actively collaborates on scientific and professional projects in this field. Her contributions to academia include authoring or co-authoring an array of scientific papers and professional publications. Beyond her research work, Dr. Mandić is instrumental in designing and facilitating workshops for young people. These workshops cover important topics such as risky behaviors and violence in virtual environments, media literacy, and internet addiction. Additionally, she has co-authored two preventative programs to promote healthy self-image in virtual and media spaces and prevent behavioral addictions.
