After the video sharing app experienced a boom, and Instagram unveiled its Reels version, it became obvious that brands and content creators needed to turn to video content production in order to stay relevant. Recently, we’ve been seeing more and more ads while scrolling through Instagram Reels; while advertising on TikTok is about to hit our market too. As videos replace photos, are filters and the AR Spectacles by Snap Inc. the beginning of a new era dominated by augmented reality? How does influencer/brand merch fit into all of this?
