Exceptional speakers and a superb program at the largest regional conference in Rovinj

A multitude of domestic and foreign experts from various fields and industries such as media, public relations, IT, music, economy and innovation will once again enrich the exciting atmosphere of the Weekend Media Festival. The jubilee Weekend.15—held on the premises of the Old Tobacco Factory in Rovinj from 22-25 September under the slogan #SAMODOĐI—will, among others, host top international security expert Yossi Melman, economist Vuk Vuković and young graphic designer Ghada Wali.

This creative, advertising and media gathering will, through more than 35 lectures, discussions and panels, provide curious visitors with new experiences and knowledge, thanks primarily to the outstanding careers and achievements of this year’s speakers. The respected Israeli journalist and publicist Yossi Melman knows about the world of international security and the secrets hidden within the dark world of espionage, and it is he who will open the Weekend program in a 1-on-1 talk with Igor Alborghetti, editor-in-chief of the weekly magazine Express.

One of the most exciting stories at Weekend.15 will certainly be the conversation between Infobip’s Nikola Pavešić and Michael Selden from Finless Foods, one of the most interesting food tech start-ups in the world. As part of Weekend.15, the winners of the domestic Food Tech start-up competition—which started at the Weekend Food Festival in May—organized by Infobip, Maistra and Pepermint, will be announced.

Under the auspices of the Weekend, this year will feature the Golden Drum—the festival which awards the best ideas, the most successful creative teams and skilled individuals who effectively bring innovative ideas to life and thus leave their mark on the advertising industry. The main theme of this year’s festival is Rebuilding Connection. On this occasion, the audience will have the opportunity to meet Ghada Wali, a young TED speaker representing the MENA region and the first Arab designer to speak at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris. Also appearing in Rovinj will be Fabio Seidl, director of global creative development at Meta, the man responsible for the worldwide campaigns for brands such as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger and Quest; and Jason Romeyko, global executive creative director and managing partner of Serviceplan International—the independent network of the year at Cannes 2022.

Apart from top speakers and excellent educational content, the Weekend Media Festival is known for its impressive can’t-miss entertainment program. Thus, the biggest star in the region Konstrakta, accompanied by the band Zemlja Gruva, will perform at the biggest regional conference.
